“I know I was born and I know that I’ll die, the in-between is mine”
Mr Eddie Vedder
Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you’ve enjoyed your vacation, but it’s time to sit yourself comfortably, strap yourselves in and prepare yourselves for what promises to be one hellacious ride!
IT’S TIME! IT’S TIME! IT’S TIME!!!
A lick of paint, a quick refuel and a tub full of lube to grease the wheels… The National Award nominated Fraytrain is ready to roll once again! WOOOOHOOO!
Itchy feet and a need to push the boundaries will see this next leg of the journey take in slightly less exotic cities and countries than before, but if your expecting mundane, drab travel writing then change the channel now, because you ain’t finding that here!
Next stop, 4061m high in Italy… next stop, the summit of Gran Paradiso!
The latest string of deaths on the Mont Blanc massif will certainly change the mood of the expedition, but having summited a few 4000m peaks in my time I’m no stranger to the challenge ahead.
Wish me luck folks, and I’ll leave you with some food for thought:
“If you aren’t in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?”
T.S Eliot
